Four winds face bowl, Chawan

$60.00

This wheel thrown tea bow is sculpted with four faces, one facing each direction. Each one has its eyes closed, suggesting that each direction is first faced inwardly to gain the wisdom to act accordingly. It is inspired by Indian sculptures of Bodhisattva's, who have gained such deep insight that their awareness sweeps all directions like the four winds.

Approximately 3.5 inches tall by 4”x 5”. Made of stoneware, glazed white.

When not in use, it makes for a beautiful sculptural object to inspire calmness and insight.
