This bowl is wheel thrown and hand sculpted with the faces of a mother and baby emerging from the inside. The faces are unglazed orange stoneware, while the rest is glaze with white/tan/teal blue-green glazes.
Approximately 14” diameter by 3.5” deep. It can hang on the wall on a single nail or screw that catches an undercut carved inside the foot of the bowl.
One of my favorite pieces I’ve made since becoming a parent. It shows the sweetness and tender love of a mother for her baby.
